Make a snail with conkers and playdough in the finger gym.At this time of year, I usually find myself with a huge basket full of Conkers that the children have brought into school over the autumn term. I normally return them to the woods along with the pile of dried leaves that we have used for leaf rubbing and printing etc.
But this year I have been spending some time with my nephew and we have been exploring the possibilities of left over Conkers.
Here are some of our ideas…
Make a snail with conkers and playdough in the finger gym.
Build a tower out of conkers and playdough on the maths table. How tall can you make your tower?
Just explore with the conkers and playdough.
Other ideas for conkers on the maths table would be:
Find the conkers hidden in a tray of leaves and line them up in size order.
